ETAR - an unforgettable piece of Bulgarian customs and culture.
It is located 8 km south of Gabrovo. The complex was opened in 1964. with the idea to recreate the era of the Bulgarian Revival.

City of Craft - so call this pure mountain town inhabited by patriotic Bulgarians.

Museum is a scale model of the craft town of the era of Bulgarian Vazrazhdane.Some of the buildings are completely authentic, others restored to its original vid.V complex there are several shops where you can see the various skillful craftsmen. Mutafchiyata which manufactures products from goat's hair, coppersmith - with his copper vessels hlopkarya - with bells on livestock, Cutler - with its different types of knives.

Here you will see a workshop production of walnut oil / sharlandiyska / workshop for the processing of leather tabakhana / workshop for dyeing yarn and knitting ropes.

You'll also see the waterwheel, which is a symbol of the museum because there is only one in Bulgaria's collection of equipment and water.

Stroll through the street to feel the Balkan spirit and enjoy the distinctive talent of the old style builders.

Малките манастири

Малките манастири – кътчета в България ,малко известни на нас. Шияковския манастир „ Свети Архангел Михаил ” е един от тях.Намира се на около 1 км. над гр. Костинброд. Има две легенди за него . Едната е свързана с царуването на цар Иван Шишман , а другата , че е възникнал още по византийско време. Въпреки неуточнения му произход се знае, че е съществувал по време на османското владичество. Имало е и килийно училище. През 1868–71г игумен на манастира е личният приятел на Левски от легията на Раковски Генадий Ихтимански - Скитника. По негова инициатива през 1871г в манастира пристига Апостолът на свободата и заедно с няколко съратници поставят началото на Тайния революционен комитет в Костинброд. Ето и снимка на това магично място ,където е хубаво човек да се разходи и опознае малко от нашата история.
